Western Instruments Basic Plus Pit Gauge
The Western Instruments Basic Plus Pit Gauge is aprecision measuring tool used by welders and inspectors to accurately measure the depth of pits, corrosion, and other surface imperfections on materials like pipes, plates, and structural components.
This measurement is crucial for determining if the material is still fit for service or if the flaw exceeds the maximum allowable depth specified by industry codes.
The Basic Plus pit gauge is available with both dial or digital indicators, for convenience of use. All Basic Plus gauges are sold as a kit which includes a secure wooden storage case.
